Flipper: The Sword of Carlos De Cabral (612x459)

A dashing, but strange, young man, dressed in 15th century clothes is rescued near a reef by Tom and Quinn. He has sailed from Portugal alone and deliberately abandoned ship to retrace the exact voyage of his ancestor -- an ancestor he claims actually discovered America by landing on this Key in 1487 before Columbus. His ultimate proof will be a jeweled sword left by this ancestor more than 500 years ago. Maya is much enamored by the romance and charm of this young man, but the skepticism of the others is reinforced when the young man's older brother arrives from Portugal to claim that Maya's hero is delusional. However, Maya continues to believe, and their journey to prove the quest legitimate leads to an underwater cave. Is Maya in danger? Is Maya's hero a fake? Where does this romance lead? These questions will be answered on this episode of "Flipper."
