Tom, Jennifer, Dean and Holly decide to take a boat trip on an old sail boat. Unfortunately, the boat has a leak. The gang barely makes it to the life raft before the boat sinks. Holly tells Flipper, who has been tagging along, to find help. The group lands on an island which happens to be a live fire target site for the Navy. Flipper, while searching for help, gets caught by Captain Orry, who is training a pod of dolphins for the Navy. While on the island, the gang splits up to look for any signs of civilization. Dean and Holly are wandering in one direction when suddenly a shell whizzes past them and explodes. The impact knocks them both down. Holly is seriously injured with an abdominal wound and temporary loss of hearing. Back at Bal Harbor, Quinn, Maya and Cap are all worried because Tom and the gang have not reached their destination nor has anyone heard from them. The three decide to search for their missing friends. Meanwhile, Flipper is able to escape from Captain Orry, taking the rest of the dolphin pod with him. Orry, preoccupied with commanding the bombardment on the target site, decides to deal with Flipper and the other dolphins later. How will Quinn and the others find the gang? Will Flipper show them the way? Find out if Captain Orry continues using the island as a firing ground even after he learns their are civilians wandering around.
