One of the interns' final examinations involves each set of lab partners going out to collect specific ocean specimens which Jennifer has listed. Holly and Dean go far off the beaten track because Dean wants to find some exotic, extra-credit samples to pull his grade up. They find a remote, fog secluded island, but their small boat is destroyed in the surf line, leaving them marooned on an apparently deserted island. However, they are soon captured by a small group of inhabitants ..... a lost tribe of teenagers who crashed on the island twelve years ago. They are trapped in a six-year-old's vocabulary, but some of the boys are developing a rather harsh autocratic approach to running the island.... and they don't like strangers. Will they ever get off the island? Meanwhile, back at the Shipwreck Cafe, Cap is encouraging Jennifer to make use of the new pool table to skin a few suckers.... especially Tom, who fancies himself Willie Mosconi, Junior. How will the match-up turn out?
