     While out in a boat, Mike and Maya discover a strange island inhabited by monkeys. As they try to catch one, They discover a warning sign to stay off the island. They leave right away but unknowingly take a stowaway ( one of the monkeys). The monkey picks at some of the food on the boat and hides during the trip home. Mike eats the food and throws some to Flipper.
     Later some of the research center members as well as Flipper come down with a strange sickness. Mike is also infected but tries to hide it from Pam. Finally as she realizes that her son is sick, she rushes him to the emergency room. But it's too late!! The center has been quarantined by the military as they discover the disease is the "dreaded" Oringi Virus!! As Mike and the rest of the infected patients linger near death in the quarantine area, Keith and the Scientists race against time to develop a cure. A vaccine is developed at the last minute using Flippers blood. It seemed Flipper beat the Virus and they could use his antibodies!! ( Hey, It could happen!!) Everyone is saved and Flipper is the hero!
